It's
Morgan's 30th birthday today! Or I mean yesterday as of 43 minutes ago. Happy Birthday! I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't been walking out to my car at the same time she and
Dave were leaving. They were on their way to a nice quiet dinner... awww.
The last night of league bowling was Monday night, marking nine months since I started this damn hobby. What the hell have I done with my life since then? The entire team could have collectively had a baby in the time it took to raise my average by two miserable pins. So retarded. I'm sure even softball or ping-pong would have had a better effect on me in terms of exercise or stress relief. I blame
Travis for this. The good news is that we got our winnings for the season and we each scored $108.40 - that pays for two and a half months of bowling! This is pretty much based on our placing fourth in the first quarter of the season, since we went steadily downhill from there, even flirting with last place towards the end. That means a handful of teams break even or even make a small profit at the end of the year if they're more consistent than we were. Maybe that'll be us this summer.
So concerning my earlier post about my friend Jimmy being in Better Luck Tomorrow - turns out his brother made the film! That also clears up another worry I had - one of the lead characters looked so familiar that I thought I knew him and I distracted myself mightily thoughout the whole film, racking my brain trying to figure out the connection. What was really weird is that it actually occured to me that he looked so much like Jimmy that he could have been his brother, but I blew that off as a stupid thought. There I was the entire time thinking I was racist, "they all look the same!", but they actually did look the same because they were related - whew...
