In addition to the whole upswing in mood and innovation that's been going around the web lately, some really cool sci-fi type of stuff is starting to finally come to fruition. In Peter's post about annotating space, I left a few thoughts in the comments section relating my experiences using Plazes on my recent trip to NY. For example, here's a blog page created just for Brett's computer lab at Parsons, complete with cool features like comments, photo galleries and RSS feeds.
You know, I'd seen the trend of adding geourls to your blog last year or so, if not earlier, and always kind of wondered about their utility. It just seemed like a show-off-your-blog-skills kind of circle jerk. There were nice proof-of-concept web apps out there, but nothing that anyone seemed to find extremely useful or use frequently. It's good to see that times are slowly changing and that you can digitally tag places as easily as you can conversations and thoughts.
