My 30th

So, um... I'm, like, old now - here's the Flickr photos from my 30th. It was Carolyn's bday too - there's pics of her and friends in there as well. (That's not Carolyn on the right - that's Yesi)
Thanks to everyone that came out, it was good seeing friends again. I'd like to think I have something deeper to say about the fact that I'm 30 now, but honestly? I don't feel any different. It was just a good excuse to party!
Looking back on my last birthday, I ushered out my last year of being young and stupid with a bunch of work instead of partying. This year looks like I'm going to be able to relax a little more and enjoy the fruits of my labor instead. Just a hunch.
And on a side tangent, I've noticed that my coming down to San Diego feels like an event, since people make an effort to come out that might not if I didn't live in San Francisco now. You really don't realize how many friends you have until, well, until you actually do realize. These are friends that I might have seen individually over the course of a couple of months if we were in the same town and now I'll see them all at once on one night. The downside is that it's hard to catch up with everyone at once, especially late at night in a loud nightclub. Lesson learned: next time I come down, Friday March 17th, we're going out to some place cool and chill - Crush in Hillcrest.
